My god, I've come home!!
I had a roommate who got ahold of the videos of Sharpe about 11 years ago, when they were damn close impossible to find in the US, and we were all instantly hooked. To the point where three of us ... um, had roleplaying characters named Sharpe, Harper, and Harris.
The movies got me hooked on the books, and they both got me hooked on that particular era in history as well. So ... yeah. I'm a dork. Hi!
New Fan of Mr. Sharpe
I just discovered the adventures of Richard Sharpe a few weeks ago. I now watch every movie on BBC-America.
I have also started to get interested in that time period in European history.
I hope to track down the books and read them. Current Mood: excited
So when I'm rich and I fund the American big-screen version of Sharpe (which will be like the Master and Commander movie in that it will be based loosely on all of the books at once instead of following a single one), the fights will be choreographed by whoever did the battle scenes in The Last Samurai
. Sean Bean will not play Sharpe, though, and I will personally ensure that my actor does not have a mullet at any point during the shooting.
Hello and welcome to Flippin' Out and Killin' Guys, the only community on LJ dedicated to Richard Sharpe's favoritest things.
Now post about how much you love him.
